10 Ways to Keep the Romance Alive

Long distance relationships can be a difficult experience for any couple. However, here’s something to look forward to: going back home. As long as you follow the rules of long distance relationships, then you have nothing to worry about. You’ll have peace of mind knowing that both you and your lover did your best to make the relationship work, and that it was all worth it.
Here are a few tips to keep the romance alive in long distance relationships. That way, going home will definitely be something to look forward to.

  1. Before leaving, make sure that you and your partner have a plan. Don’t just leave everything to chance; set goals so that you’ll know where you’re heading.
  2. Don’t forget special occasions such as anniversaries and birthdays. You don’t want to go home knowing you’ve forgotten an important occasion.
  3. Make time to call your lover. Yes, you’re very busy and you’ve got tons of work. But what’s few minutes on the phone to say “hi” and “I love you.” Besides, you don’t want to make your partner feel like you’ve abandoned them.
  4. Are there shows or movies you both enjoy watching? Then burn those telephone lines and watch them together. Even when you’re miles apart, you can still feel the closeness.
  5. You can’t just leave and expect you’ll see each other again when you go home. Plan weekend visits to ease the loneliness and to avoid drifting apart. Phone calls and emails are great, but nothing beats actually seeing each other again.
  6. Be old-fashioned every now and then and write letters to each other. It’s a romantic way to keep in touch.
  7. A day or two without communication is also a great way to keep the romance alive. You’ll get to miss each other and have more things to talk about afterwards.
  8. Jealousy can threaten any relationship. You can’t observe and control everything your partner does. Therefore, you need to rely on trust and hope that your partner will remain faithful to you.
  9. Don’t find a “temporary replacement” for your partner to ease the loneliness. Since you’re relying on your partner to be faithful to you, you should do the same for them.
  10. Don’t let negative comments get you down. There are people who will tell you that a long distance relationship is a long shot. Ignore them and keep believing in your relationship.

Pray hard and I don't wanna be the victim of long distance!!!
Keep it up!!!
